Ards 1 posponed, Cregagh 1 posponed. Dungannon 2 lost to Dundrum 2 by 11 runs and to Waringstown 4 by 2 wkt scoring 160 - 1 C Perry 75, R Robinson 60 no.
DUNGANNON 1st XI LOST A VITAL GAME AGAINST CREGAGH BY 1 WICKET.
CREGAGH DECIDE TO PRACTICE OF THE SQUARE BEFORE THE GAME AND AFTER A POLITE REQUEST THEY HAD TO BE TOLD IN RUDE LANGUAGE TO GET OFF BEFORE THEY MOVED, AN APPOLOGY WAS NOT FORTH COMING. OUR RESOURCES ARE ALREADY STRETCHED IN KEEPING THE SQUARE IN SHAPE AND THIS DOES NOT HELP.
WOULD THEY HAVE DONE THIS ON WARINGSTOWN'S SQUARE?
1stXI lose second Sunday game ,with only 4 first pick players available ,against Ards by 2 wickets losing 9 wickets for 13 runs. Chris Adrain fails for the first time this season. The pitch was poor and Umpires were calling wides with the ball passing inside the wide line, reduced to 40 overs and Dungannon's score was reduced by 1/5 to 83 even though it was scored inside 40 overs and handed Ards the game on a plate. This method can't be right
On Saturday Clogher were easily beaten with Chris Adrain and Steve Forsythe scoring half centuries in 268 - 8.
2nd XI defeated Dundrum by 8 wickets , Gary Parker starred with ball and Colin Perry scored his second fifty of the season.
1sts lose to Donaghadee fielding 10 men angd missing 6 regulars. third collapse in a row from a winning position losing 21 wkts for 50 runs over three games.
2ndXI defeat Donaghadee II by 7 wkts. C Perry 36, A Holmes 34no star with the bat and R Agnew 4 - 14 starred with the ball. RSD SCHOOLBOY HAS TAKEN 19 WICKETS THIS SEASON.
Chris Adrain scores 4th half century of the season as 1stXI defeat Ards by 80 runs.
2ndXI defeat ARDS II by 3 wickets R Robinson 72 no, second half century of the season.
1stXI defeat Cregagh by 86 runs as Steve Forsythe scores his 4th century (113) for the club. A no result against Clogher scuppers any chance of winning the league, the match can not be rearranged even though there are 7 Sundays and a Few Saturdays to the end of the season, a Crazy NCU rule when only 12 league games are to be played. PSNI GAME WASHED OUT, PITCH WATERLOGGED.
1stXI lose to PSNI's IX (nine) fielding a weak team including 73 year old Billy Adrain. Big guns Chris Adrain, out first ball, and Steve Forsythe (14) had a rare failure and only a good innings (47 ) by Lincoln Registe made the score respectable as most of the batsmen had their usual collapse and only a last wicket stand between Lincoln and Billy (4no) raised the total to 90. The absence of most of the 1st XI was badly missed.
Season ends with a default to PSNI with the game being pointless.
