Welcome to Dungannon C.C. 1865 to the present day
2009 GOOD NEWS AT LAST -- latest -- Dungannon win D1.S4 -- hard work on ground pays off.
hard work by Billy and Chris Adrain over the last two weeks removing stones, forking out ruts , rolling the outfield and cutting down the grass to a reasonable height , after finally persuading the Council to cut the hay on the outfield , means that it looks as if we will be able to play our home fixtures in the Dungannon Park starting on 4 July 2009.

The site was created on the 21st February 2001 and I will be inserting all
the info I can find on :-
The Club History, League Tables, Averages, Players, Fixtures, News, Tours,
Where we played, etc.
We returned to Dungannon Park for season 2000.
The club had to leave our excellent ground at SHIELLS FIELD
(DUNGANNON RUGBY CLUB) because they were going to sell it in the near future.
The COUNCIL through Ian Fraser offered the club a ground in DUNGANNON PARK
WHERE THE CLUB HAD PLAYED FROM 1954 TO 1985.
The square has been top dressed with over 100 tonnes of soil and levelled from 2000 to 2005 mainly by Billy and Chris Adrain
and is now as good a square as there is in SENIOR 2 and is acredit to their efforts.
The 1st's play in N.C.U. League Div.1,Sect.3 and the
2nd's play in N.C.U. League Div.2, Sect.3.
Dungannon Park is located on the M1 side of DUNGANNON town
in Co.Tyrone, N.Ireland.
I'll be updating the site over the coming months and
I hope you'll find the information entertaining.

DUNGANNON HAUHTED BY THE SPECTER OF " COUNTRYFEST "
**********************************************
VERY LITTLE HAS BEEN DONE TO REPAIR THE DEVESTATION CAUSED BY " COUNTRYFEST ". REPAIR WORK NEEDED TO BE CARRIED OUT IN SEPT,OCT,2008
FOR PLAY TO BE POSSIBLE IN 2009. EIGHT MONTHS ON , APRIL 2009, THE OUTFIELD IS A LONG WAY FROM BEING REPAIRED. THERE HAS BEEN AN ASTOUNDING LACK OF URGENCY AND THE CLUB IS RESIGNED TO NOT BEING ABLE TO HOST HOME GAMES THIS SEASON AND WILL HAVE TO RELY ON THE GENEROSITY OF OUR OPPONENTS TO FULFILL THE FIXTURES . THIS THREATENS THE EXISTENCE OF THE CLUB IF THE DUNGANNON COUNCIL CAN NOT GURANTEE THE AVAILABILITY OF A GROUND. THE NCU WERE LESS THAN SYMPATHETIC AS THEY FINED THE CLUB FOR NOT PROVIDING A GROUND FOR UNPLAYED HOME FIXTURES .
THE CLUB IS AT THE MERCY OF THE COUNCIL
mid April . Ground finally seeded. The club are unlikeky to be able to play home games this season. The drainage is also very bad. *********************************
the council has at last been galvanised into action after a letter was sent to them complaining about the lack of progress andthey finally cut the hay .Billy and Chris Adrain have spent ap. 60 hours on outfield cutting , rolling , raking, removing stone and levelling some areas.
the ground is just about fit for play. We are going to play at the Park from 04/07 . This is earlier than we anticipated. DUNGANNON PLAYED FIRST MATCH " AC " v VICTORIA 11072009 -- WON
